ENDORSEMENTS - A WORK IN PROGRESS

Brian Goodman

Denver Police Officer & United States Army Veteran, 2008-2019

As a history and government major, I have read and tried to understand some of the most demanding times in human and American history. Both of my grandfathers fought in WW2, and both my brothers served in Iraq.  I served in Iraq with Chase and not only know him on a personal level but on a professional one. The strictest professional level.  The level where lives are on the line every day and with every decision.

Many Americans feel this same pressure today with every decision they make regarding whether they visit family members on holiday, do they put their kids in school,  or can they? Will their business survive? The demands and decisions that are being placed on everyday Americans by state governments are overwhelming. Many of these decisions don’t fall in line with the Constitution’s tenets and the founding fathers’ aim.

Knowing Chase and having served with him, I know that he is a man that will make the right decision, not the easy one. It’s easy for a candidate to just fall in line for a party view or constituency, regardless.  Chase isn’t that.  He’s a deeply passionate Christian, Kansan, and veteran that will put Kansans and the founding fathers’ aim first. Most importantly, he’ll make the right…hard decision, regardless of the pressure.

Entrepreneur & United States Army Veteran, 2003-2008

There are three qualities I value most about Chase: his ability to lead effectively, his integrity, and the way he genuinely cares for people.

I first met Chase in 2006 when he was assigned to my patrol team in Iraq.  Within a brief period of time, Chase’s innate ability to take control and lead clearly and confidently in fluid situations set him apart from many of the men on our team.  This capacity earned him the trust and respect of his peers as well as his commanding officers, and his natural charisma and leadership strengths propelled him steadily upward in rank.

Since leaving the Army, Chase and I have partnered in a business venture and various veteran’s affairs.  Chase truly cares for people.  He treats his clients with courtesy and respect, and his compassion and integrity are evident as he advocates for veterans, or anyone, who needs assistance.

If elected, I have absolute confidence Chase will put the needs of Kansans first.  He will strive to see freedoms preserved and will make the restoration of commerce and the safe return of children to school top priorities.  I am honored to offer my unreserved support to Chase LaPorte as the next Governor of Kansas.
